About the Tournament
This beloved annual tournament honors the memory of Lt. Col. Kenneth McGinty, Lt. Col. Robert Scheske, and J.R. Ryan, founders of the Community Foundation of the Gonzales Area (CFGA). All proceeds support educational scholarships for local students, including the Tommy Chenault and Kenny McGinty Scholarships.
Teams of two will compete for prizes—$600 for 1st place, $400 for 2nd, $300 for 3rd, and $200 for 4th. The tournament is limited to the first 36 teams registered.
Entry includes:
- Use of a cart
- Free breakfast tacos
- BBQ lunch
- Cold drinks throughout the day
- Raffle tickets available for purchase
- 50/50 pot option
Note: No alcohol or beer will be served during this event.
Rules & Handicap Info
- 70% of the lowest team member’s handicap will be used.
- Players aged 70+ will tee off from the senior tees.
- Handicap cap: 15 max per player.
