🎺 Los Grandes Del Norte
Saturday, October 4 • 11:00 PM • Main Stage at Independence Square
Based in Pharr, Texas, Los Grandes Del Norte are the soul of the border brought to life onstage. Founded by accordionist-producer Andrés “Nano” Medina and powerhouse vocalist Richard Soto, they’ve transformed from a backyard wedding band into one of the Rio Grande Valley’s most electric exports.
Their breakout 2012 single Cumbia Caliente lit up South Texas radio, and since then they’ve released hit after hit—including the viral Popurrí de Corridos Bravos series and 2025’s Vol. 4, which topped digital charts. You’ll find their live videos hitting half a million views and their fanbase spanning from Brownsville to Laredo—and now, Gonzales.
🎶 Music & Live Show Style
Los Grandes Del Norte turn any street into a full-blown fiesta. With a lineup that includes accordion, bajo sexto, two trumpets, saxophone, bass, drums, and congas, they deliver 20-minute medleys that blend corridos, cumbias, rancheras, and norteño into a seamless wall of sound.
- 🔥 Accordion solos inspired by Ramón Ayala
- 💃 Saxophone harmonies rooted in Monterrey’s norteño-sax style
- 🪘 Cumbia rhythms that demand dancing
- 🎤 Bilingual live dedications for birthdays, veterans, and bodas
- 💥 Show-stopping finale: Popurrí de Corridos Bravos — capped with a unison shout of “¡Puro 956!”
Whether you’re dancing with a beer or swaying with your kids on your shoulders, this headliner set is the pulse of the celebration.
